Arizona's first TruFocals provider - first adjustable focus eye glasses
A likely result of aging is that nearly all people will need reading glasses in addition to their current vision correction sometime after the age of 40. Bifocals or progressive glasses may partially address this issue, but none have provided a solution to imitate one's previous youthful vision: a dynamic, adjustable focus eyeglass with a full field of view.
For lack of a better alternative, many people who experience a reduction in the eye's ability to focus have relied on bifocals or progressive glasses. Common drawbacks include: nausea or headaches caused by distortion and blurriness or neck pain from aiming one's vision through a limited field of view. Others have prepared to accept and suffer with the inconvenience of constantly switching between multiple pairs of glasses throughout the day.
After 20 years of research and development, TruFocals, currently renamed Superfocus, was introduced to the market in 2009 as the first adjustable focus lens that provides a full field of view.
Superfocus required several technical breakthroughs, six patents and many years of testing and refinement. Superfocus is the first and only biomimetic lens that not only focuses objects at all distances, but also offers outstanding optical accuracy, bilateral tracking and prescription correction.
Head to Toe Healthcare, PLC is proud to be the first practice to offer Superfocus in Arizona. Winner of the prestigious 2009 Best of What's New Award in the Health category by Popular Science magazine.
